My Friend, Puter.

A short film founded in 2025

It’s a dark comedy set in the late 1980s, where a lonely boy named Gabe gets what he thinks is the best Christmas gift ever: a brand-new talking computer. At first, it’s playful—it tells him fun facts, keeps him company, becomes the friend he’s never had. But slowly, the computer starts pushing Gabe into darker territory, turning ‘games’ into manipulation, leading him toward a violent clash with his dysfunctional family.

It’s funny, unsettling, and nostalgic all at once—think TED meets War Games but with a sinister, analog-tech edge. It’s about childhood loneliness, the dangers of dependence on technology, and how easily innocence can be warped.

We’re aiming for a short that feels both absurd and chilling—a cult-worthy mix of comedy and horror that makes people laugh, gasp, and maybe squirm a little. That’s My Friend, Puter.
